About IFPS and Forums

The International Federation of Psychoanalytic Societies IFPS is an international federation that brings together psychoanalytic societies from diverse traditions, theoretical orientations, and cultural contexts. Founded with the aim of fostering plural dialogue, international cooperation, and clinical and conceptual exchange, IFPS is distinguished by its openness to different models of psychoanalytic training and practice.

The IFPS Forums are international scientific meetings held regularly since the founding of the Federation. Each Forum is organized around a central theme that addresses current clinical, cultural, and ethical issues, and provides a privileged space for exchange among analysts from different regions of the world.

The IFPS Forum is addressed to psychoanalysts, candidates in training, psychotherapists, researchers, academics, and professionals interested in psychoanalytic thought and its intersections with contemporary culture. It is also open to students from related disciplines and to participants from other fields interested in interdisciplinary dialogue.
