Exclusive premiere · First screening in Chile
For the first time in Chile, the XXIV IFPS International Forum will present OUTSIDER. FREUD, Yair Qedar’s acclaimed cinematic exploration of the life, exile, and foreignness of Sigmund Freud.
Through a striking combination of animation, rare archival materials, and contributions from leading psychoanalysts, the documentary reveals how experiences of marginalization, persecution, and exile profoundly shaped the emergence of Freudian thought.
Following the screening, the Forum will host a special discussion panel with film director Yair Qedar and invited colleagues, addressing the documentary’s clinical, cultural, and political resonances in the contemporary world.
This special event will be included as part of the general Forum registration.
